Pago de Larrainzar is much more than wine. It is the soul of our family… Bodegas Pago de Larrainzar is the personal dream of Miguel C. Larrainzar, who in 2001 took up the Larrainzar family tradition, linked to wine since the 19th century. Luis Larrainzar, his great-grandfather, began to produce wines on his property, planting a small vineyard of his own and opened the first winery in 1891, always with the idea of making limited elaborations of quality wines with their own personality. In 2001 he decided to resume the family tradition. He does so accompanied by two of his five children: Miguel Canalejo Lasarte, as winemaker, and Irene Canalejo Lasarte, as Marketing and Sales Manager. They also added prestigious advisors to the team, such as the consultant winemaker Ignacio de Miguel.
